M.Sc. Sophie Mainz

Sophie Mainz is university assistant in the team of Bilgin Ayata working on the topics of social cohesion and migration. She obtained her MSc in Political Science from Uppsala University and holds a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University. Her research interests focus on social cohesion in post-migrant societies, attitudes and values of and towards people with a migration experience, (national) identification and quantitative research methods. Besides her academic work, Sophie is active in the non-formal education Youth Peace Ambassador Network (YPAN), as a member of the Refugee Law Clinic Berlin and promotes the education of women in quantitative research.
