I have my focus on international economics with particular interest in multinational firms, European integration and globalization.

The international financial crisis and the Euro crisis shifted my attention towards the financial market and its inclusion in our general equilibrium framework. That requires coping with differentiated assets which motivated me to search more generally for models that rely on differentiated factors and heterogeneous agents.

Fortunately, I teach mostly international and development economics so that teaching stimulates research and vice versa.
