I primarily teach in my native language, English, with the exception of one course.
By contract, upon appointment as an Associate Professor, I am now obligated to teach a minimum of 8 hours per semester. Each hour is equivalent to 15, 45 minute-long units. Currently I teach courses in General Ecology (In German), Aquatic Ecology (Lecture & Field Course), Molecular Ecology (together with Kristina Sefc), Scientific Writing, Data Management and Statistical analysis (with SPSS), Evolutionary Genetics (together with Christian Sturmbauer), and a PhD journal seminar. This semester (Winter 2014) I also began a special lecture/lab module in applied fisheries genetics in cooperation with the Agricultural University in Vienna, integrated into their special International Master's program in Limnology.
