Beliefs about the Advantages of Multilingualism in Austria

This master thesis will focus on a 5-minute online study exploring beliefs about the advantages of multilingualism and their associations with various sociodemographic factors, including age, gender, political beliefs, migration background, language habits, and level of openness in Austria. The study aims to recruit a total of 1,500 participants from all regions of Austria to ensure nationwide representation. For your thesis, you would analyze the data from one of the Federal States of Austria. If you’re interested, you would also have the opportunity to co-author a research paper on the topic.

This research is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a deeper understanding of multilingualism in Austria and its societal implications. The findings could provide valuable insights for education and policy-making.

As part of this thesis, you will:

  1. Manage participant recruitment for the study

  2. Analyze the collected data (with support provided for statistical analysis)

  3. Write the final thesis based on the study findings
