Stefania Patrizia Sonia Rossi

Stefania P.S. Rossi is Professor of Macroeconomics at the Department of Economics at the University of Graz since September 2020. She has been Professor of Economics at University of Trieste, Italy and prior to that she was professor of Economics at University of Cagliari, Italy (2002-2016) and Researcher/Lecturer at University of Napoli Parthenope, Italy (1996-2002). 

She holds habilitations to Full Professor for Economic policy and prior held habilitation to Full Professor for Applied Economics, according to the Italian law (Law 204/2010 art. 16) ASN “Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a professore Ordinario”. She obtained her PhD in Economics in 1993 from University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. After her PhD she was post-doc Visiting Scholar at the Stanford University. During her academic carrier she has served as Research Economist at the World Bank, as expert at Ministry of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Rome, as economist at OeNB (Oesterreichische Nationalbank), Austria, as Professor at the University of Vienna and at the International Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. 

She has published widely in international peer-reviewed academic journals. She has also published books on financial issues with Springer International Publishing and Palgrave Macmillan.  She reviews regularly papers for journals.
