Evaluation of Teaching

Courses are evaluated on a regular basis. In summer 2011 all my courses were evaluated. The lecture Philosophy of the Enlightenment of 2014 was evaluated after students had nominated it for a teaching award in the same year.

From 1992 to 2009 the Centre for Educational Development and Academic Methods (CEDAM) at the ANU conducted surveys of students' views of most of the courses I taught. The surveys were very positive. Details can be provided.

In 2008 I was nominated for a CASS (College of Arts and Social Sciences) Teaching and Learning Award for the "Award for Teaching Excellence" category.

In 1991 the Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of Sydney conducted a student evaluation of my teaching in the courses Locke and Empiricism, and Aesthetics. The surveys were very favourable. Details can be provided.
