Anke Strüver is Professor for social geography with a focus on urban studies at the University of Graz (Austria), Department of Geography and Regional Science, as well as head of the RCE Graz-Styria, Centre for Sustainable Social Transformation, since fall 2018. In 2004, she completed her PhD at the University of Nijmegen (NL) on the socio-cultural production of cross-border spaces and their effects on everyday practices and became a full professor of social geography at the University of Hamburg in 2010. Her research focuses on embodied sociospatial relations in urban everyday life.
