PhD Position: Next-Generation Alkaline Electrolyte Membranes for Water Electrolysis

Join our team to develop PFAS-free, durable membranes for scalable green hydrogen production. This project focuses on advancing Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis (AEMWE) by improving conductivity, chemical stability, and mechanical robustness, paired with AI-assisted optimization.
Your Role:
- Conduct research on ionic conductivity, chemical stability, structural analysis, thermal behavior, and mechanical properties of membranes.
- Collaborate with TU Graz, AVL GmbH, Ionida FlexCo and SimplyAI FlexCo to connect membrane properties with electrolyser performance.
Your Profile:
- MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Interest in polymer/material characterization and synthesis.
- Strong English skills (B2+).
- Organized, communicative, and enthusiastic about lab work.
