“Since October 1, 2019, I have held the position of Professor of Finance and Business Analytics at the Karl-Franzens University of Graz. Prior to this, I served as Professor of Integrated Financial Risk Management at Leuphana University Lüneburg and as Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). I completed my habilitation at the University of Kiel, focusing on topics in financial intermediation and financial markets. My doctoral thesis on dynamic efficiency in venture capital markets was conducted during my time at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
I have been a visiting researcher at several institutions, including the University of Münster, the University of Ghent, the Center for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim, the University of Oklahoma, and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in Cambridge, MA. Additionally, I have collaborated multiple times with the Research Center of the Deutsche Bundesbank. My research findings have been presented at leading academic conferences, including those organized by the Financial Management Association, the Swiss Society for Financial Market Research, the German Society for Financial Economics, the European Economic Association, and the Verein für Socialpolitik.”
