Joël Foramitti

Dr. Joël Foramitti is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Environmental Systems Science at the University of Graz. His research focuses on cooperation, democratic governance, and collective organization to meet human needs within planetary boundaries. He obtained his PhD in 2022 from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on the topic of “Agent-based modelling of climate policy”, holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Vienna University of Technology. Alongside his academic work, Joël Foramitti worked for several years as a software developer and is actively involved in cooperative initiatives such as the MILA Mitmach-Supermarkt in Vienna.
