Gabriel Bachner

I work in the EconClim research group (vice-head) at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change.
By training I am an environmental economist doing research in the field of climate change economics at the macro- and meso-economic scale. Methodologically, I develop and apply Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models, implemented in GAMS/MPSGE. Also, I often integrate stakeholder knowledge with quantitative approaches. My work covers the analysis of socio-economic consequences of climate change impacts (including adaptation) in various climate sensitive sectors as well as the socio-economic analysis of climate change mitigation measures. Focus sectors of interest are Transport & Mobility, Electricity and Iron & Steel.
Please check my publication list for details, or check my profiles on Google Scholar and ReserachGate.
